Tour Preview: Where You’ll Go

Capitol Building

The mile-high Capitol for the Mile High City, The Capitol Building has ghosts lurking inside the attic of its famous dome and below ground in the secret labyrinth tunnels once used for nefarious purposes.

Molly Brown House

Home of the oppressed, but not down and out, Molly Brown, who was discriminated against due to her low social status. Determined to hold on to her hard-earned lifestyle, she now haunts this mansion, her husband, and other spirits.

Croke-Patterson-Campbell House

Known as one of the most haunted houses in Denver, this home is filled with the ghosts of a tortured child, an ambitious newspaper owner, and a lady in white. During a seance, an empty tomb was found in the basement, adding a macabre twist to the house's story.

The Hauntings of Denver

People have been flocking to Denver’s scenic views and pristine air since its foundation in 1858. Shady characters and shanty shacks made up the core of the earliest settlers, and lifestyles that led to massacres and violent outbursts still haunt the cities today. Its fate was nearly sealed as a gold-mining ghost town, but the city flourished as the railroads connected the mining town to civilization.

The wealthy and elite made their way up the Rockies as word spread of Denver’s mountain scenery. With them came hotels, mansions, and businesses that claimed much of the real estate. Their tales of betrayal and deceit, along with the ghosts they produced, are still told to this day.

The rough and tumble lifestyle that created The Mile High City has yet to be quelled. Angry phantoms stalk the grounds of their old homesteads while disembodied screams echo across the landscape for anyone who will listen.

The Most Haunted Places in Denver, CO

Spread wide and far across the Rockies, Denver has several haunted locations hidden in plain sight. The infamous Stanley Hotel, the inspiration for the horror film The Shining, is known for the terrifying hauntings that emanate from room 217. Likewise, the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver hosts a cast of spirits that still believe in the elegance of Old Denver.

Patterson Inn was known to be cursed from the get-go by its original owner, Thomas Croke. Sold off within a few months of being purchased, the hotel has been saturated with spirits since it opened. The Byers-Evans House Museum is stuck in a ghostly time warp, with people dressed in early 20th-century clothing often seen roaming the house late at night.
